The Bitchy Business Briefs [rebranding to SharonLeeZapata.com]

Hey! You! Welcome to my Briefs

I’m Sharon Lee Zapata, thinker, self-growth enthusiast, no filter author, writer, artist, and podcast host of Middle Finger Happiness

MANTRA: Work Hard.  Live Well.  Don’t Fuck with Me.

WHAT WILL YOU FIND HERE? Depends on what you’re looking for?  I openly dispense personal small-batch stories on business, life lessons, how to hug it out with fuck-ups, smackdown shituations [no typo], and move towards positive mental shifts and changes.

I’ve had to ‘rebuild’ my guard-rail damage… Haa! Yeah, that’s how I describe my mental health.  I deal with depression and anxiety.  Being raised by an abusive narcissist mother is not an excuse to live with ‘guard-rail’ damage; it’s just a great opportunity to rebuild my beautiful quirky shit and create my best life.

Some more good news: I also have Dyslexia – – this is a learning disorder that affects your ability to read, spell, write, and speak. People who have it are often smart and hardworking, but they have trouble connecting the letters they see to the sounds those letters make.

I believe that embracing my core story allows me to grow, help myself, and help others. I want to empower humans who have been made to feel like failures in their attempts to find themselves.

WHY DO I WRITE?  I write like nobody is going to read my stuff.  This gives me freedom and I don’t worry what someone is going to fucking think about me.  Maybe that’s the secret sauce… Writing is therapy.  Basically, I’m sharing my personal therapy so I can function as a kick-ass woman, who sometimes struggles with things… I am human like you

MY BOOKS: I don’t write self-help books.  I write good-struggle books and how to do things to stop struggling.  I come to my keyboard with a little knife and I’m not afraid to use it. You’ll find positive disruptive ways to clear out the negative shit in your head and move forward with your life.

HAMSTER WHEEL ENERGY! Sharon sometimes suffers from having misdirected energy which lets her tap into her creativity…  She has learned to smash down her depression and anxiety by writing books, magazine articles, copy, creating unique abstract artwork, running, and yoga.  Her art studio is inside Sawyer Yards [a historic neighborhood] one of the largest creative communities in the nation.

CREATIVE CONTENT: Seems to always be popping inside her head… This causes her to have an affair with her purse either digging for her cell phone or tiny notepads so she can jot down her ideas, projects, and other amazeballs social currency.  This is actually her therapy instead of taking pills.

THE RUNDOWN: She is a giver of unsolicited opinions, using her gifts of sarcasm and persuasion to communicate. She doesn’t play well with egomaniacs, assholes, or bigots – they should keep a safe distance from her. Sharon and her awesome husband are raising their family in Houston, TX where they also share their home with 3 rescue doggos and 1 rescue ninja cat.

As the creator of The Bitchy Business Briefs, I started this project back in August 2015 when I got laid off and began my own company, The Zapata Group [A Swiss army knife of consulting tools & communications]

The Bitchy Business Briefs [now SharonLeeZapata.com] is my nirvana where I can freely produce brain dumps and share valuable things with my readers.

I am still figuring shit out, learning about life, and how to face down self-doubt… Together, inside the Briefs, we are free to be here –

I know some people will judge this book by its cover [metaphorically speaking] – The title of this writing platform not for everyone.

I am secure in my understanding – – that is why I choose to re-appropriate the definition of Bitchy – – it loses its power to hurt.  Somebody has to write what the rest of us are thinking.

Dip your toes into these pages… You’ll find some surprising posts that will inspire you to give a fuck about things that do matter and how to become a kick-ass person of value!
Big ass hugs & love,
