LIFE LESSONS, SELF-IMPROVEMENT, SMARTY-ASS QUOTES

It’s the Next Best Thing.. Until the Next Best Thing!

As humans, we were all born with a factory installed gifts to be ‘creative’.

And… we all love the ‘next big thing’  Until the ‘next big thing‘…

Think about what you’ve created recently in your life?

Now if you have a blank stare at this early point in my story because you can’t recall anything you’ve recently created… well fuck, that’s pretty sad.

If you’re new to my writing, you will learn quickly that I am unapologetic as I type on my sturdy keyboard.

Because we are allowed to want things from life… how do you make this happen?

By creating.

By letting our minds wander… (not wonder)

Don’t become an expert in complicated things… that can become draining on your personal energy and your soul.  Look into the simple yet powerful things that you can create and share with others.

If you’re thinking, “I don’t know where to start or I am not a creative person…”

Then it’s time for you to escape into your head… do this in a quiet space if possible.  Like lay down on a blanket and look up at the sky.  Seriously, when was the last time you did that?

You see there’s a lot of noise inside your head.

Why?

Because we live in a noisy world and our heads are like panhandlers ready to accost everything... from the news, social media, and other humans

So how else will you be able to give your mind the space to roam?

To wander?

To contemplate the array of beautiful, endless options this world affords us?

I say by tapping into more of your creative energy… It allows you to expand and grow in new ways.

The very essence of what it means to be a creative being!

How else will you reflect on what you really want from your life? (Because you’re allowed to want things from life, you know.)

So how can you expand your innate creative energy?

1.] Learn as much as you desire about your interests and then discard the rules. And don’t compare yourself to others

2.] Let it all go. Stop the striving. Don’t make “be more creative” another thing on your to-do list.

3.] Get some new people around a table… this is one of the quickest ways to get people who think they aren’t creative to scrap that viewpoint and to begin to contribute.  Table-talks discussion and brainstorming dialogue are probably the fastest way to come up with new creativity and solutions.

4.] Take on a new endeavor.  Grinding out the same old shit every day can burn out even the most creative brightest light. Go back to tip number 3… getting contributions from people who have fresh perspectives can help bring forth new ideas.

5.] Play.  Not play with your kids… that’s being a mom.  Play with yourself.  [O.K. not like masturbating… that’s for another time]  I mean play… like sing out loud, dance in your pajamas, talk to the tree or talk to your dog. By connecting with your true nature and life force, you’ll start to dance in life’s creative beauty.

I will let you in on a secret I learned from James Altucher, author of Choose Your… be happy, Make Millions, Live the Dream.

I do exactly the same thing daily that he suggests… and it works great on becoming a creative ‘machine’.

Get a spiral notebook. Number 1 through 10.

Write down ten ideas [bad or good] or write down ten things you want or don’t want.

The key here is to write it down…

Yep, I am a writer and I have to ‘write shit down’ so it sticks in my head… then I bring a knife to the sturdy old keyboard and I am not afraid to use it… and share what I write.

Viola!

That’s my dirty secret for today!

Crack on! Make something happen today.

Cheers!
